My Fish Log - Identify, record and share your catch!
My Mushroom Log – released July 10, 2012
Your mushroom log gives you the security of knowing the weather before you leave and a compass to help you get back to your car or your favorite spot. The altimeter keeps you in the same altitude while the mapping features supply you the ability to mark your location and then add audio or text notes, pics and video for that spot. Instantly share your success on Facebook and Twitter. Use the pics of the most common edible wild mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest to help you learn more about your favorite wild delights!

Focuses on Upland Game. Easy to navigate and the same great features of My Duck Log except the identification features.
Occupier’s Revenge
We are working on updating our challenging physics-based game that entertains and educates at the same time.

Regarding “My Bird Log”, i’ve had this app on my phone since its release. In present form its useless of course, but i keep updating waiting for enough functionality to be useful. Here’s my list of features that would make this a serviceable app in order of importance:
1. Have a running total page that displays the time/date|species|place taken|etc so we can see basic historical information
2. Clear data is a great start, but it should be per entry not all or nothing
3. Any kind of ability to edit entries
4. Species totals so you can sort the master list (number 1 above) by type of bird shot
5. Notes per kill, so you can add useful info like “off point” and such
These are a few simple updates that would turn a work in process into a real tool for the hunter! Eventually incorporating the features of the duck log would be an added bonus for us upland hunters!! Thanks for your hard work thus far
The recent release now has the ability to delete individual records! That is done by swiping from the right to left on the line you want to delete. You can add individual notes by using the “Locate” button. After it takes you to the map you can pin your location. From there you can add audio or text notes, pics and videos. You can recall those notes later as well by selecting the “Locations” button. If there is enough interest, I’ll add Upland Game to the website where you would be able to create comprehensive records.
Thanks again for your input!
Steve
Thank you for your comments/suggestions Phunter Ed! I will be releasing an update with mapping ability that allows you to add notes. That is coming real soon. Clearing data per entry is a great idea! I will incorporate that soon also. I am working on making my duck log app talk to the web site. Once I have that worked out I can do the same for the Upland Game. I started these just for my own use and they are supported by the little bit of money generated by the ads so spread the word: click on the ads to help improve these apps!
Thanks for your efforts thus far! I had read this was something for your own use, a quick count of sorts that you’ve been kind enough to share. I’ve tempered my expectations accordingly and will take whatever you’ve to offer! I hope I didnt offend by the “useless” comment, it wasnt meant as a complaint or derrogatory, just an acknowledgement that this is currently your personal tally app, and isnt meant to be too much more yet! I think with a few additional incorporations, this could fill a niche where there is no other app currently! I will support, I will spread the word because I believe you are well on your way to a very useful tool for the “masses”. Best luck and happy hunting!
First try with this app (duck log) – on a pc,,think it will be a good tool, will try on ipad soon,,couldn’t figure out how to have an entry for a no-bird day as a count was required to save/submit? Thanks for putting this out there!
You’re welcome! You are right about the “no bird day”! I’ll have that changed soon.
Thanks for joining in and helping me make this a useful tool!
